Miðhús sf is a traditional Icelandic eiderdown company that processes and exports the world’s rarest natural insulation material — eiderdown. Their new website had to reflect the brand’s exclusivity and centuries-old tradition while being functional and modern. Built on WordPress, the site supports multiple languages and provides intuitive navigation through the product catalogue.

How do you visualise 1100 years of history and Icelandic nature?
The main challenges: creating a sense of luxury — eiderdown is one of the world’s most expensive natural materials and the site had to reflect that exclusivity; telling the story of an 1100-year tradition and Icelandic nature; presenting the product catalogue clearly and elegantly; and ensuring multilingual support in both English and Russian to serve an international clientele.
